We draw your attention to the fact that Berkey® counterfeit products have been found on the market. Unscrupulous individuals or companies try to pass their generic coal filters for authentic Berkey® products by putting them in boxes which they have tried to reproduce as authentic. We investigate the source to take measures against them. However, we need your alertness and your continuous help to identify anyone likely to sell counterfeit products.
The first generation of Berkey holograms today (obsolete).
Although counterfeit boxes are very similar to the authentic boxes, There are some simple signs to identify counterfeit products:
- The holograms used on counterfeit products also have A different aspect (see below).
- BB9-2 counterfeit boxes use a different cardboard material which is finer and has a shiny finish.
- The original cardboard containing the 2 filters is very thick, matt appearance

The second generation in use
Authentic Berkey® products currently have holograms with a unique standard number printed on it.
Third generation hologram
In the near future, we will start to gradually eliminate the second generation NMCL hologram and replace it with a new hologram Official Berkey® Water Systems of third generation logo (see the example below). The hologram of the Berkey® Water Systems of third generation logo has a new design as well as even more advanced features to help consumers identify authentic Berkey® products.
