Black Berkey® elements are leaders in gravity water filtration, validated by independent tests. They reduce trihalomethanes, inorganic minerals, heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, VOCs, petroleum products, perfluorochemicals, rust, silt, sediment and radiologicals.

These items have been tested by third-party accredited laboratories according to the ANSI/NSF protocol (Std. 53) and treat over 200 typical drinking water contaminants.

Included: two 23 cm Black Berkey® elements with washers, wing nuts and priming button. Compatible with all Berkey systems and other gravity systems. Lifespan up to 22,712 liters (11,356 liters per pair), to be adjusted according to water quality. Reusable and guaranteed for 2 years pro rata.

Emergency performance: can serve up to 100 to 200 people per day.

Use:
Simply fill the upper chamber with water. The system gravitationally filters the water to the lower tank, ready for use via the tap.

With 2 additional filters, the capacity increases to approximately 26.5 liters/hour. As standard, the 2 filters provided can purify up to 22,700 liters of water.
