UNDERSTANDING THE FLOW
Fast filtration
Phoenix filters are designed to offer a flow high. A rapid flow does not, in itself, constitute a defect.
It corresponds to the expected operation when the assembly is tight and that the flow rate remains consistent with the characteristics of the chosen model.
OUR MAINTENANCE RECOMMENDATION
12 months
Annual replacement recommended
Our shop recommends replacing the Phoenix filters every 12 months from their commissioning, or earlier depending on the quality of the water and the volume filtered.
The usage times announced for Black Berkey® should not be automatically applied to Phoenix filters.
THE RED DYE TEST
Check the assembly and sealing
The red food coloring test is used to check the correct installation of the system and to detect possible internal leaks, in particular around joints and points tightening of the filters.
What it checks
The correct assembly and tightness of the assembly: joints, tightening of the filters and caps of unused locations.
What it does not measure
The filtration efficiency against contaminants. This tightness check does not replace not laboratory performance testing.
Use red dye provided or recommended by the manufacturer and follow the instructions in the package insert.
For your tap drinking water
The manufacturer does not claim microbiological treatment performance for Phoenix New Millennium Edition™ filters.
