Imperial filters AMB & GF — Monderma gravity filtration system
Imperial® AMB and GF filters – The new generation of Monderma gravity filtration. Available from September 2026.
Made in the United States, Imperial® filters combine a plastic envelope microporous ceramic impregnated with colloidal silver to internal filter media selected for their adsorption capacity. Depending on the version, the water passes through a block of compressed activated carbon or a mixture of granular activated carbon and zeolite.
Why choose Imperial® filters?
- 🇺🇸 American manufacturing
- 🔵 High performance microporous ceramic
- 💧 Filtration only by gravity — without electricity, without connection
- 🧪 Reduction of contaminants according to NSF/ANSI protocols 42 and 53
- 🛡️ Protection against fine particles, sediments and microplastics
- ✨ Improved taste and odor of water
- 🔄 Cleanable ceramic surface
- 📅 Battery life up to 12 months with two filters
Two technologies, two use profiles
🔵 Imperial AMB® — Double Barrier, Deep Filtration
The Imperial AMB® combines a shell in 10mm microporous ceramic impregnated with colloidal silver with a core of 20mm high density compressed activated carbon and zeolite. This architecture creates a double protective barrier : the ceramic first filters the particles and protects the carbon block from sediments, then the carbon ensures thorough adsorption.
Compact format: 7 inches tall × 2.75 inches diameter. According to our comparative measurements, the ceramic shell is ~30% thicker than that of the Coldstream FTO+ and the carbon block ~40% thicker than the wall of a Black Berkey®.
- Two microporous barriers crossed successively
- Dense carbon block — optimized contact time
- Carbon protection by ceramic
- Performance tested NSF/ANSI 42 and 53
- NSF compliance on materials
Comparisons based on actual measurements — slight variations possible depending on manufacturing tolerances.
🟢 Imperial GF® — Ceramic, granular carbon and zeolite
The Imperial GF® combines a shell made of 10mm microporous ceramic impregnated with colloidal silver with an internal mixture of granular activated carbon and natural zeolite. The water passes through the ceramic then comes into contact with the internal media: the carbon adsorbs the chemical contaminants, the zeolite completes by ionic exchange.
Excellent compromise between efficiency, versatility and throughput — ideal for comfortable daily use.
- 10mm microporous ceramic
- Granular activated carbon + natural zeolite
- Optimized flow — faster flow than a compressed carbon block
- Great versatility in the face of contaminants
- Performance analyzed NSF/ANSI 42 and 53
- Next generation alternative to Coldstream FTO+ filters
Imperial AMB® or Imperial GF®: which filter to choose?
| Criterion | Imperial AMB® | Imperial GF® |
|---|---|---|
| Internal technology | Compressed carbon block + zeolite | Granular carbon + zeolite |
| Filtration barriers | Double (ceramic + dense carbon) | Simple (ceramic + internal media) |
| Flow | Slower — thorough filtration | Faster — daily use |
| Ideal profile | Maximum filtration, water of variable quality | Daily comfort, good quality water |
| Protocols tested | NSF/ANSI 42 & 53 | NSF/ANSI 42 & 53 |
Designed for Monderma gravity systems
Combined with Monderma Water Filters stainless steel tanks, Imperial filters make it possible to produce filtered water completely autonomously: without electricity, without connections, without pumps, without network pressure, without water discharge. Simply fill the upper tank — the water passes through the filters by gravity and collects in the lower tank, ready for consumption.
Compatibility
Thanks to their standard 2.75-inch Imperial format, AMB and GF filters are compatible with many gravity systems: Monderma Water Filters, Berkey®, British Berkefeld®, Phoenix®, ProOne® and other 2.75 inch compatible fountains.
Economical, durable and stress-free filtration
American manufacturing, cleanable ceramic, autonomy up to 12 months with two elements - Imperial® filters are a practical and sustainable solution to reduce plastic bottles and produce daily filtered water at home.
