Tips for Maintaining Your Water System

1. Before leaving for an extended absence, be sure to fill the bottom tray of your water system with clean water to halfway up the ultimat Eva cartridge. This will prevent oxidation of the cartridge.
2. To ensure water freshness, do not leave stagnant water in the lower tray for more than a week. If you plan to be gone for longer, empty the lower bin completely before leaving.
3. When you return, completely empty the bottom tray of your water system to remove any bacteria and impurities.
4. Clean the bottom tray with a clean sponge and use a mixture of warm water and vinegar to remove residue and stains.
5. Rinse the lower tray thoroughly with clean water to remove any vinegar residue.
6. Consult your water system manufacturer's specific instructions for additional tips on maintenance and cleaning.
7. If you have any doubts about the quality of the water after your return, filter or boil it before consuming it.
