A targeted supplement for your drinking water
Water passes first through the main filters in the upper tank, then through the PF-2™ cartridges suspended in the lower tank. Their media retains the targeted substances on its surface: this is the principle of adsorption.
The PF-2™ thus complements the Black Berkey® or the Phoenix for the reduction of fluorides and certain forms of arsenic. They are used with the main filters adapted to your system.
The actual capacity depends in particular on the concentrations present in the water and its pH. The manufacturer indicates optimal efficiency between pH 5 and 7. These conditions must be taken into account to assess the advertised performance.

Choose the right number of cartridges
This lot includes two packs of two PF-2™, for four cartridges in total.
- Equip four filters simultaneously with four main filters with four PF-2™.
- Or use a pair on a two-filter setup and save the second for future replacement.
Main filters and fountain are sold separately.
LITERAGE AND USAGE LIFE
Two markers for replacement
Note the date of commissioning and track the volume of water filtered. For each pair of PF-2™, replace the cartridges as soon as 3 approximately 785 liters or 12 months are reached.
Earlier replacement may be necessary depending on the quality of the water and its use. The 3,785 liter mark corresponds to a pair.
The 6-month manufacturer's commercial warranty concerns the conditions of support for the product. It is separate from the replacement frequency.
PRIMING AND ASSEMBLY
Installation in just a few steps
- Prime each PF-2™ with cold water, in both directions, according to the instructions, until the water runs clear.
- Screw the threaded end onto the filter stem main already installed. Do not exceed 8 turns and do not force : excessive tightening can damage the internal sieve.
- Replace the tanks, carry out a first fill and discard this first filtered water.

EVERYDAY
Understanding the flow rate with PF-2™
The addition of PF-2™ creates an additional filtration step. The system flow rate may therefore decrease, particularly when the water from the lower tank reaches the bottom of the cartridges.
This slowdown is part of the intended operation. Allow time for filtration and check priming if flow becomes abnormally low.
THE RIGHT THOUGHTS
Dye test: remove PF-2™ first
Always remove PF-2™ before performing a red dye test on your system.
The assembly test concerns the main filters and their mounting points. It does not measure the effectiveness of PF-2™ against fluorides or arsenic. Follow the instructions corresponding to the main filters you are using.
