💧 Two Black Filters Monderma

The cartridges use a block of activated carbon from coconut shells, with silver in their composition. This range is proposed to improve the taste and odor of water, and reduce chlorine.

Black Filters is a Monderma range. It is distinct from the Black Berkey® and the Phoenix: each range has its own composition and its own replacement marks.

👀 The water level at a glance

The faucet indicator allows you to see the water level in the lower bowl without lifting the upper bowl. It helps you decide when to use or refill water.

The body of the faucet is made of AISI 304 stainless steel. The glass tube and its marker ball remain accessible for maintenance.

🚀 Getting started in 3 steps

• Prepare the cartridges. Rinse them, then soak them in a clean container for at least 30 minutes, tilting them to flush the air. The instructions also describe a method of priming under tap.
• Assemble the fountain. Clean and rinse the tanks and the tap. Place each joint at the base of its filter, inside the upper tank, then tighten the nut by hand, without forcing. Close any unused ports.
• Rinse before drinking. Perform 2 to 3 complete filtrations and discard this preparation water, as indicated in the Black Filters instructions.

🧼 Regular maintenance

Clean regularly the tanks and the tap, after removing the filters. The system instructions recommend cleaning the lower tank every 3 to 4 days, with a soft sponge and a suitable product, then rinsing carefully.

For the cartridges, use cold water and a clean sponge suitable for their surface, without soap or detergent, and without dishwasher. Reprime them if necessary after maintenance.

Follow the faucet instructions to disassemble and clean its parts, especially in the event of deposits or dripping.

⏱️ Understanding the flow rate

The flow rate announced for the Travel equipped with two Black Filters reaches up to 10 liters per hour. This is an indicative benchmark: priming, water height and the condition of the filters influence the flow.

The flow rate decreases when the level drops in the upper tank. Rapid flow after good priming may be normal; its speed does not allow, in itself, to conclude that there is a defect or the effectiveness of the filtration.

📅 When to replace the pair?

For this offer, the benchmark is 12 months maximum after commissioning or 16,000 liters for the pair, at the first deadline reached. Note the installation date and replace the cartridges sooner if their condition or use requires it.

The two filters work together: the number of cartridges installed does not multiply the duration of 12 months. These values ​​are benchmarks announced by the brand, varying depending on water and use; they do not guarantee an identical reduction of each substance for the entire duration.
