This filter is suitable for stainless steel gravity systems and is compatible with gravity housings, British Berkefeld, Berkey, Coldstream, ProOne, Monderma. It can replace the supersterasyl ATC filter. It will NOT be suitable for running water pressure (under counter) systems. The Coldstream FTO Plus Ceramic Water Filter is made up of two key components. Our unique, specially formulated ceramic outer layer, which provides protection against bacteria and eliminates PFAS, particles and microplastics. The interior is made from our black granulated carbon backing. This filter protects against fluoride, heavy metals, chemicals and much more. Install an FTO Plus filter in your Gravity system to ensure safer, healthier drinking water with great taste. Ideal for use at home, in gyms and spas, in off-grid units and also used in the field and by international humanitarian organizations.

More ppm after filtration

Very disappointed by the promises, after 3 rinses of 8 liters I found myself with 150 ppm at the filtration outlet instead of 88 before filtration and this despite the 3 total filtration operations to clean and evacuate the dust from the filters???
I'm going to take my Berkey filters again which seem to me to be well above the rest.

Concerning the higher PPM value, this probably indicates a slight release. However, it is important to remember that filters are not intended to reduce PPM, because these include the good minerals naturally present in the water.

In your case, the increase seems to come from a release of fine activated carbon particles located inside the ceramic, which can occur after the first filtration cycles.

In addition, when you finalize filtration, there is always a little water remaining at the bottom of the tank. By tilting the tank to remove this remaining water, the carbon granules inside the filter may be slightly displaced, causing a temporary release. This does not harm the performance of the filter and stabilizes after a few uses.
