FOUNTAINE WATER · MONDERMA WATER FILTERS
Monderma® Big 8.5 L with 2 Imperial GF filters
Stainless steel faucet
Prepare your drinking water at home with a stainless steel fountain of 8.5 L, operating by gravity. The two Impérial GF filters combine a ceramic envelope with an internal media: granular activated carbon and zeolite. Pour cold drinking water into the upper tank and find the filtered water in the lower reserve, ready to be served from the tap.

🌿 Impérial GF: ceramic and granular activated carbon
The water first passes through a microporous ceramic envelope, then meets the granulated activated carbon and the zeolite placed inside. The ceramic surface remains accessible to remove deposits during maintenance.
The reference to choose: GF designates the granular carbon version of the Imperial range. The AMB version uses a compressed coal block; their flow and capacity marks are different.
🚰 A simple to install fountain
The configuration includes a stainless steel faucet for serving filtered water. Its gravity operation allows you to install the fountain in the place that suits your daily life, without an electrical outlet or plumbing work.
Choose a stable surface, with the tap accessible and enough space above the lid to fill the tank.
💧 GF: the flow marks
Approximately 3 liters per hour with the two GF filters: this mark is indicative. The water level in the upper tank, the preparation and the condition of the filters influence the actual flow rate.
The first filtration can be slow, while the ceramic is soaked. The flow rate also changes during filling: as the level drops, the thrust of the water decreases.
To maintain comfortable use: prepare the water in advance and gently clean the ceramic when the flow slows down. A persistent slowdown after cleaning may indicate that it is time to replace the elements.
🛠️ First use: four steps
- 1. Prepare the parts. Wash your hands, clean and rinse the tanks and faucet. Check that the ceramic of both filters is intact.
- 2. Install the filters. Place the flat gasket against the base of each element, inside the upper bowl. Pass the rod through the hole and screw the nut underneath by hand, without forcing. Close any unused holes with the appropriate caps.
- 3. Prepare the ceramic by gravity. Filter a first filling and throw away all the water collected. Leave the filters in place overnight without using the fountain. The next day, make a second fill and also throw away the filtered water.
- 4. Start your use. The water from the next filling can be consumed. Before filling the top tank, make sure that the bottom reserve can accommodate the added volume.
Preparation without pressure: do not let water enter through the threaded rod of the filter. The ceramic elements are prepared according to their own instructions.
🧽 Filter Maintenance and Replacement
Clean the surface when the flow slows or deposits build up on the surface. Remove the filters carefully and use a clean soft brush under cold water, without soap or detergent. Rinse, then reassemble the joints and nuts by hand.
After this surface cleaning, the instructions do not require redoing the two preparation fillings. Cleaning does not reset the duration of use.
The capacity of 7,000 liters refers to the pair and varies depending on water and use. Note the commissioning date: Monderma plans a replacement within 12 months maximum, sooner if an element is damaged or if the flow rate remains insufficient after cleaning.
☀️ Good daily actions
- Keep the reserve clean. The system instructions provide for cleaning the lower tank every 3 to 4 days. Remove the filters before cleaning the tanks with mild dishwashing liquid, then rinse thoroughly.
- Adjust each fill. An already partially full tank should be able to accommodate all the water you add to the upper tank.
- Protect the elements. Use cold potable water, avoid heat and protect the filters from freezing as well. only temperatures below 4.5°C.
- After a prolonged absence, discard the first filtered filling and follow the instructions in the instructions.
📦 The contents of your set

- 2 Imperial GF filters with their seals and fixing nuts.
- 1 standard stainless steel tap.
- 1 installation and maintenance guide.

💡 And the minerals?
This filtration does not demineralize the water. A TDS tester measures dissolved substances; it does not allow the effectiveness of the filters to be evaluated. Its value may increase at start-up due to the mineral materials of the ceramic.
Origin of the filter elements: Impérial GF filters are manufactured in the United States.

- Understanding the difference between Imperial GF and AMB filters
- Envirotek manufacturer's report no. 16-112 (2016) — testing document
- Tests and certificates published by Monderma: dates, references and scope of the documents
How to read the documents : the Envirotek report mentions NSF standards 42 and 53 and describes results for the tested sample. It does not present two series of results separately identified for GF and AMB. The manufacturer's NSF/ANSI 42 document, dated 2020, is also not sufficient to establish certification for each Monderma fountain thus equipped.
